Jon has a new outfit! (Although there are three young men with very similar outfits you can pick Jon out as having the black suit with red stripes and logo of red S on a yellow background.)
But why?
The beginning of the big reboot of the DC Universe - “Dawn of DC” - has just taken place.
Most of last December’s comics were the final ones in the “DC Rebirth” series launched in 2016. Action Comics 1050 was the end of that Superman run, and this reboot is his “New adventures back on Earth with the Superfamily” series.
We’re also done with Jon Kent in his Superman - Son of Kal-El series which is soon to be re-launched in March as Adventures of Superman - Jon Kent.
Point being - great cover on this issue, and there’s a second story about Jon as a youngster further into the magazine.⏬
