Critical Role – The Mighty Nein Origins – Caleb Widogast (2022)

So I read this as part of my “read every comic and I might find some gay content in it” modus operandi and indeed it did.
Critical Role is a Youtube series where professional voice actors play Dungeons and Dragons. I’d never heard of it but when I looked it up found out that it’s been ongoing for 8 years - with some episodes lasting up to 5 hours. It’s become so huge that there have been various spin-offs, including a number of comic series. The Mighty Nein are a team of characters and they’ve done a series of “origin” comics for each one of them. This is obviously the origin story of Caleb Widogast - which, as you’ll note in the intro paragraph, is not the name of the main character.
HAVING SAID ALL THAT - I thought that this evil empire Hogwarts-type school had trained 3 young guys to be a warrior trio who all then formed a sexual bond. Fantastic! It was only when I re-read it that I realised that one character actually had a female name but a very boyish appearance, hence the trio are actually M/M/F. The point is that while the sex scenes are passionate the actual drawings are quite modest so I didn’t see any boobs so I just thought it was three guys. You can seriously just read it that way if you like.
ANYWAY - it’s a great story set in a medieval fantasy land with conflicts between good and evil, morality and duty… etc, etc.（G5V.NET）
